As news breaks that First Minister for Scotland, Jack McConnell has been quizzed by police over the cash for honours investigation Alison Goldsworthy has challenged Labour representatives in Cardiff West, Kevin Brennan and Rhodri Morgan to declare if they too have been contacted by police.

Alison Goldsworthy, spokesperson for Cardiff West Lib Dems said:

"The Cash for Honours investigation goes right to the heart of the Labour Government - Tony Blair has spoken to police and now Jack McConnell has too. Kevin Brennan played a key role in Labour's 2005 General Election, acting as aide to Alan Milburn who was in charge of the Election Strategy."

"We know that many people involved in Labour's election efforts have been questioned, including Alan Milburn, Kevin's former boss, and now Jack McConnell. Residents of Cardiff West have a right to know if Kevin and Rhodri has also been contacted by the police"
